1. Manuscripts and editorial communications should be emailed to jedmail@cau.ac.kr.

2. Manuscripts should be written in English. Manuscripts should be typed on one side of the paper only, using double spacing throughout and leaving adequate margins on all sides. All pages should be numbered consecutively, and references, tables and legends for figures should be prepared on separate pages. Manuscipts with no more than 25 pages in length are preferred. Authors should supply an English abstract not exceeding 100 words, key words, and the JEL classification number(s).

3. Submission of a paper will be held to imply that it contains original unpublished work and is not being considered for publication elsewhere.

4. Articles are accepted for publication on the understanding that they are subject to editorial revision and that the right of publication in any form or language is reserved for the JED.

5. The first page of manuscripts should contain the following information:

(a) the title;

(b) the name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s); and

(c) the address for editorial correspondence, including phone and fax numbers, and an e-mail address.

5. Footnotes should be kept to a minimum and be numbered consecutively. Statistical tables and diagrams should be neatly prepared with clear explanations, so that the reader can understand their meaning without hunting in the text for explanations.

6. Citation of references in the text should be by author(s) followed by parenthesized Arabic numerals denoting the year of publication, as Aitchison and Brown (1957), Arrow (1951, Theorem 1), Panzer and Willig (1977b, p. 488), etc.

7. Bibliographical references should be accurate, and follow the style and punctuation in the following examples:

for books, authors' name (in case of more than two authors; family name, initial of given name, initial of given name family name and initial of given name family name) year of publication in parentheses, title of book in italics, location of publisher: publisher.

for articles, authors' name year of publication in parentheses, title of articles in quotation mark, title of journal or book in italics in which the article was published, page (p.) or pages (pp.).

8. Manuscripts that do not conform to these requirements may cause unnecessary delay in processing and may have to be returned to the authors.

9. Authors are reminded that they must observe the usual rules and practices regarding the reproduction of copyright material in their articles.
